The F-16C Fighting Falcon is a tactical fighter developed from the F-16A PLUS.

From its initial adoption by the US Air Force, the F-16 has been continuously improved based on the Multistage Improvement Program (MSIP). In the F-16C, its radar fire control system was upgraded from APG-66 to APG-68, improving its target search and identification capabilities. Furthermore, with the new AIM-120 (AMRAAM) missile, it became possible to attack multiple targets simultaneously, significantly enhancing its air combat capabilities. The engine bay has been modified to accommodate either Pratt & Whitney's F-100 or General Electric's F-110 engine. A notable external feature is the bulging extension at the base of the vertical tail, which houses ECM equipment.

Starting from October 1991, the Block 50/52 variants began delivery. These models are equipped with an Improved Performance Engine (IPE), offering higher maximum thrust and better maneuverability. From May 1993 onwards, Block 50/52 models were equipped with an AN/ASQ-213HTS (HARM Targeting System) pod on the right side of the intake. This enhancement allows the jet to detect and engage enemy air-defense radars, enabling it to perform "Wild Weasel" anti-radar missions.
